K-8 JumpStart and Freshman Academy

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on our students. Our K-8 JumpStart and Freshman Academy Programs are designed to offer targeted support to students that have been identified as needing additional assistance for academic success. Teachers and administrators will be reaching out to parents of identified students during May and June to discuss this program. Both programs focus on front-loading essential skills for grade-level success, building relationships, and developing routines for success in a small and fun environment.

High School Credit Options

La Grande School District is providing free credit recovery and original credit options for our students this summer. Our goal is to make sure all our high school students are on-track for graduation and able to move into the 2021-2022 school year confidently.

Registration opens May 10th. Classes start on June 14th. Students and parents need to visit with their school counselor and /or administration to access courses and determine what classes would best meet their individual needs.

Classes will be provided through an online format but students will be required to check in with staff regularly and attend lab times for successful completion of summer courses.
