La Grande High School ASB is partnering with Dutch Bros to raise money for the Make a Wish Oregon Foundation on Friday, March 24th. $1 per purchase on the 24th will be donated to Make A Wish Oregon, a charity that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Union Pacific Railroad is working to address a train derailment. UPRR has stated that there are no leaks or spills of hazmat materials associated with this incident. LGSD is currently working with MidCo Bus to adjust bus routes if the train derailment last for an extended period of time. Please remember to avoid crossings on Cherry, Greenwood and Fir, and allow for extra travel time today.


At 2:50pm La Grande High School and Central Elementary lost power. OTEC was contacted and crews dispatched to fix the problems. LHS students were released at 3:10pm efficiently per normal release procedures. Student we're monitored and safe throughout the outage. Power was restored at 3:22pm and we will still hold the College and Career Fair at 5:30 pm at LHS.

All phones are down due to a power outage at Central and the High School. We hope to be back up soon!
