NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING OF LA GRANDE SCHOOL DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the La Grande School District will be meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 7:00 pm for a Special Board Meeting/Work Session and Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget in the District Office Board Room, 1305 N. Willow St. The meeting will be available in person, online, and via phone. Please see the agenda on our website at La Grande School District for meeting access information.
Following the Regular Session on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the Board of Directors of the La Grande School District will meet in Executive Session in the District Office Board Room, 1305 N. Willow St. The Board will meet pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(b) to consider the dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent who does not request an open hearing.
GENERAL MEETING INFORMATION
Regular Board Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month and Special Board Meetings/ Work Sessions are held as needed on the 4th Wednesday of the Month at 7:00 p.m., in the District Office Board Room, unless noted below under the calendar.
Please note: Special Board Meetings/Work Session meetings may be cancelled due to no items to discuss or scheduled at a different date/time to accommodate a presenter's schedule for the meeting.
The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting to the Board Secretary at (541) 663-3202.
PUBLIC FORUM at Board Meetings (available the first meeting of the month) - the public may make individual comments limited to three minutes. If more time is required, please submit comments or questions in writing. At this time, members of the public are invited to present concerns to the Board. The chairperson may allow input after board motions are made and seconded. Speakers may offer objective criticism of school operations and programs, but the Board will not hear complaints concerning individual school personnel. The chairperson will direct complaints to the appropriate means for Board consideration and disposition of legitimate complaints involving individuals.
