La Grande School District HVAC Improvements

Public Notice

The La Grande School District Board of Directors will be considering a contract for HVAC equipment and services through a permissive cooperative procurement at their June 28, 2023 board meeting. The goal of this contract is to improve the comfort in the learning environments at the La Grande Middle School and La Grande High School.  The contract will be with Johnson Controls, Inc., an awarded vendor of the Equalis Group and Region 10 ESC, a Governing Purchase Alliance.  Johnson Controls, Inc. provided a Phase 1 retrofit in 2018 to the schools involved in this project.  The scope of the work includes the installation of a chiller, some existing equipment maintenance, and upgrade of HVAC systems to provide cooling capabilities at the 50’s wing of the High School, as well provide improved indoor air quality.  The estimated amount of the procurement is $1,670,000.  Comments must be submitted by Wednesday, June 21, 2023 to the La Grande School District Office at 1305 N Willow Street, La Grande, OR or contact Brad Sunderman, La Grande School District Maintenance Custodial and Facilities Manager, at brad.sunderman@lagrandesd.org or (541) 663-3222.
